[Day 9] Rest day in Aurangabad

Because the next item on the to-do list,  the Ajanta caves, is closed on Monday, today was kind of a rest day.

There isn’t that much to see or do in Aurangabad, so we slept late, had some tea and cookies for breakfast and read books. I spend some time trying to figure out how to get from the Ajanta caves to Hampi, my next stop. Because of the complex train system, this actually took the better part of 3 hours.

In the late afternoon I went to get my train tickets and toilet paper, something that’s rather tricky to find if you don’t know where to ask. I’m not yet ready to give up my Western habits and convert to the Indian system of using the toilet :).

Random crappy shot of random street in Aurangabad.

In the evening,  Sebastien and me wandered around town a bit and had a nice dinner in the city. He also used today as an opportunity to practice his English and me my French.

Sebastien and me enjoying dinner. Again no clue what I'm eating exactly, but it's in a coconut, so it can't be bad!

So, very calm, not much exciting news I’m afraid. But who knows what will happen tomorrow? Also, I bought some more bananas today. No monkey stole them.
